Project Description:
The 5,000 SF West Douglas Park Shelter and Restroom Facility replaces the previous structures to create a modern and user-friendly neighborhood park. The new park shelter accommodates 75 visitors with seating for 48 at eight picnic tables. On the exterior walls of the new restroom facility, local artist Tina Murano designed whimsical butterfly mosaics in vibrant colors to enhance the overall visual appeal and complement the surrounding park environment. The structures were designed with special attention to use of durable and vandal resistant materials.
