Project Description:
The 2,600 SF Corner Market is a new coffee shop and cocktail bar located in the renovated historic Halloren Building in Ottawa, Kansas. Originally built in 1923 as an auto-sales center, the new restaurant design transforms the building’s original drive-through space into an outdoor patio with a see-through fireplace and window wall. The interior features an industrial design with sealed concrete floors and exposed ceilings with bright white 3-dimensional wall tile offset by the warm colors of the butcher block countertop and tables. The remainder of the building features the Halloren Art Gallery and multiple office tenant spaces on the first floor, while the second floor provides student apartments for nearby Ottawa University.
